Canal D'Amour Village

Located in Sidari, Corfu, Canal d’Amour Village is a renovation project shaped by its landscape and cultural context. The design draws inspiration from the layered cliffs of the Canal d’Amour, translating their natural stratification into a calm interior language defined by rhythm, proportion, and material continuity. Light stone tones, warm woods, and muted coastal hues create spaces that feel grounded, relaxed, and welcoming. Central to the hotel’s renewed brand identity is the reintroduction of arched forms, traditionally known as voltas—a defining element of Corfu’s architectural heritage. These arches echo both the eroded geometry of the surrounding rock formations and the island’s built tradition, establishing a unifying motif across the interiors. Subtly integrated lighting enhances depth and layering without visual excess. Designed as serene retreats, the guest rooms and bathrooms combine tonal layering, curved profiles, and tactile finishes to support comfort and ease. Working in dialogue with the existing structure, the renovation layers contemporary interventions over the original fabric of the building, resulting in a refined hospitality environment rooted in place and defined by quiet confidence.
